SINTX Company HistorySINTX Technologies was founded as Amedica Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT in 1996 by a material scientist and orthopedic surgeon who had the vision to develop an advanced ceramic for use in the human body. Our initial focus was in arthroplasty, but we entered the spine market in 2007 when we obtained the first FDA approval on our implantable device. In 2009, we moved from an incubator into our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In 2010, we acquired the assets of US Spine and in 2014 we filed our IPO. Most recently, in 2018, we sold the retail spine business to CTL Medical and became SINTX Technologies.
Silicon nitride offer advantages over other commonly used materials.
